History
Originally named Derrymore, the property is a contributing property to the Green Spring Valley Historic District. It sits on a peaceful hilltop in Lutherville, 15 minutes north of Baltimore, and was owned over the years by the families of prominent figures, including Charles Carroll, a signer of the Declaration of Independence; George Brown of Alex. Brown & Sons; and Captain Isaac Emerson, the inventor of Bromo-Seltzer.
What we did
Axios Real Estate Group restored the farmhouse in 2023, including a new geothermal heating and cooling system. Until December 2025, the property was used for short-term rentals, photoshoots and private gatherings. It was sold to a private real estate investor in December 2025.
Organic flower farm
The property is home to a 36-raised-bed organic flower farm operated by Hill Top Botanicals. The flowers are sold to wholesale florists, at farmers markets and for special order arrangements. The flower farm is not open to the public.
